Biography

Vikram, fondly called Spiky has broken most codes of the advertising industry, including not jumping jobs. In an era where creatives change agencies like they are swiping on Tinder, Spiky has stayed faithful to Leo India for 18 years and counting. In these years, he has risen through the ranks, from a Junior Copywriter to now a Chief Creative Officer, leading the creative product for Leo India. He is always eager to learn, is rarely found on his desk, has a special bond with his teammates and his clients swear by him.

Spiky, along with his partner Sachin, has led Leo India to be a powerhouse of creativity. Making it one of the most awarded, respected, and sought-after agencies in the region. For the last 2 years, Leo India has been #1 Indian agency at Cannes Lions, The One Show and D&AD. It was awarded the Asia-Pacific Creative Agency Of The Year at Spikes 2023 and #2 Asia-Pacific Agency Of The Year at Global Effies winning the Grand Effies. The recently published WARC 100 report places Leo India as rank #1 creative agency in the world and in One Show world ranking, Leo India occupies #8 spot. Spiky believes this is just the beginning.

He has constantly pushed the boundaries of technology, creativity and media for each of his brands – be it recreating the never-recorded innings of Kapil Dev for Airtel’s 175 Replayed or a data-driven hyper-local OOH campaign - ‘There’s a Playlist for that’ for Spotify. He engineered a micro-financing system powered by social media for Tata Capital and used Google map data to turn not-so-busy spaces into turfs for Gatorade ‘Turf Finder’.

Spiky and his team’s work has won the top honors at every major international award show - Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, Clio, LIA, Spikes, Adfest and Global Effies. The list includes multiple Grand Prix and Best of Show awards in modern creativity categories - Creative Data, Sustainability and Creative Commerce.
