Javier is the President of Marketing and Europe Chief Marketing Officer at Coca-Cola since February 2023, with a clear focus on leading the marketing digital transformation and developing new generations of marketing leaders. Between January 2021 and January 2023, Javier had the same role for the Latin America region.

Before that, Javier served as Global Chief Marketing Officer for Sparkling Beverages between 2018 and 2020. From 2017 to 2018, he was Vice-President of Marketing for the Asia Pacific region.

Javier joined Coca-Cola in in Ecuador in 1998 as a brand manager. He went on to serve in a series of marketing roles across Latin America, including Vice President of Marketing for the Latin Center and Vice President of Marketing for Brazil, before moving into Atlanta in 2015 as Global VP of Coca-Cola™.

Javier has a degree of Chemical Engineering from Universidade Federal de São Carlos (Brazil) and an MBA degree
