Biography
Mauro Porcini is PepsiCo’s first-ever Chief Design Officer. In this role he infuses design thinking into PepsiCo’s culture and leads a new approach to innovation by design that impacts the company’s products and brands, including Pepsi, Lay’s, Gatorade, Doritos, Quaker, and more. His focus extends from physical to virtual expressions of the brands, including product, packaging, events, advertising, fashion and art collaborations, retail, architecture, and digital media. He leads a team of 350 people in 17 design centers around the globe.
In 2022, Mauro published The Human Side of Innovation: The Power of People in Love with People, which focuses on innovation, design and leadership. In 2021, he published his first book in Italian, L’età dell’eccellenza – Come innovazione e creatività possono costruire un mondo migliore. And together with PepsiCo Design, he published Good Design is for Everyone.
Before joining PepsiCo, Mauro was the first Chief Design Officer at 3M.
