Biography
Clare Pickens has been CEO of Leo Australia for two years now. In this role, Clare is focused on ushering in a new phase of progressive partnerships and business solutions, leveraging her extensive international experience to lead the agency's growth and creative endeavours. Clare sits on the Publicis Groupe APAC Creative Transformation ExCO aimed at evolving the delivery of high quality work because she is passionate about maintaining creative quality in a world of efficiency metrics.
Prior to joining Leo Australia, Clare spent time at a couple of indie hot shops and a decade at Wieden+Kennedy. During her tenure there, she led teams managing brand strategy and creative quality for global clients such as Uber, Nike, Mondelez, Instagram, Heineken, P&G, Netflix, Diageo, Levi’s, and Booking.com. Her leadership was instrumental in delivering innovative and effective work that met business objectives and won a few Lions to boot!
In a brief career hiatus Clare volunteered offshore with Sea Shepherd, got a Masters in International Relations and qualified as an advanced open water scuba diver. When not at work, she can be found on a netball court, hanging around a coral reef or with her nose in a historical book.
