Biography
Giant Kung, a graduate of the Advertising Department at Fu Jen Catholic University, initiated his creative career as a copywriter at Ogilvy Taiwan in 2000. With 25 years of seasoned experience, he became Chief Creative Officer in 2020 and is well-renowned for his long-term collaboration with PX Mart, Taiwan’s leading supermarket chain. Kung has earned top honors at major awards including Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, Clio, Spikes Asia, and LIA—winning Taiwan’s first One Show Gold Pencil in 2016. Under his leadership, Ogilvy Taiwan has been named "Creative Agency of the Year" and "Digital Agency of the Year" multiple times. He was ranked Taiwan’s No. 1 Creative Director by Campaign Brief (2021–2024) and named Greater China Creative Person of the Year by Campaign Asia in 2022. He also received the Outstanding Advertising Creative Person Award and was honored as one of GQ Taiwan’s Men of the Year in 2016. Beyond advertising, Kung directs short films and music videos, writes columns, teaches as an assistant professor at Fu Jen, and is a published author of four books. A proud writer and avid runner, he continues to passionately shape Taiwan’s creative industry with innovation.
