Biography
Jonelle Ricketts is a passionate marketing leader with over 23 years of experience in global and national marketing and communications strategy, campaign development, and media planning across high-tech, retail, and beauty industries. She has held senior roles in Canada and the Netherlands at BlackBerry, IKEA, and Sephora. She is currently Head of Marketing at IKEA Canada, where she leads an award-winning team responsible for marketing communications, online content, customer engagement and loyalty, integrated media, and marketing performance.
As an advocate for equity, diversity and inclusion, Jonelle has become a strong voice for change in the marketing industry – pushing conversations forward and turning those words into meaningful action. Jonelle has been recognized as a 2025 Marketer of the Year by Strategy and named to Campaign Canada’s 2025 ‘More Power’ list, celebrating leaders driving meaningful change in the marketing industry. She also serves as Co-chair for the Effie Canada Steering Committee (2026–2027), volunteers with the Wilfrid Laurier University Alumni Association Board of Directors, and mentors young women pursuing marketing careers.
