Biography

Ricardo Aspiazu is a transformative creative leader and the Head of Brand Creative and Design Strategy at Verizon. Overseeing a massive $300M+ production landscape, he orchestrates a dual-engine creative organization that bridges high-level business strategy with significant cultural impact. His leadership has been instrumental in scaling a $140B+ business through the integration of thousands of enterprise-wide campaigns.

Aspiazu’s career is marked by iconic milestones, most notably the Gold Lion and Gold Effie-winning Super Bowl collaboration with Beyoncé. He serves as Verizon’s primary creative liaison for global powerhouses like Apple, Google, Samsung, Disney, and the NFL, setting industry benchmarks for large-scale co-branded activations.

Before his tenure at Verizon, Aspiazu spent over 20 years in the agency world at DDB, JWT, and Dentsu, solving complex problems for brands like Heineken and Burger King. His Ecuadorian roots and international experience have earned him the industry’s top honors, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, and the One Show. A respected voice in the creative community, he frequently serves on prestigious juries like the Grand Effie. Based in New York City, Aspiazu holds degrees from Loyola University, Universidad de Barcelona, and Baruch College.
