Biography
With more than 25 years under her belt, Rowena Bhagchandani has been lucky enough to be a part of 4 networks; Young & Rubicam, Bates, Batey and DDB. She is seen as not just as a CEO but a Change Leader and an Entrepreneur through and through. But "comfortable" just wasn't her speed. So in 2016, she and her partners co-founded BLKJ to do exactly what it sounds like – un-advertising. They weren't chasing ads; they were delivering entrepreneurial solutions for a market that's noisier, more cluttered, and more competitive than ever. And they built it on a simple premise: bring together the most diverse talent to deliver on that promise. That ambition, that drive to disrupt resulted in a big move In 2021. When others hit the brakes, they hit the accelerator and partnered with Vivendi-owned Havas Group. They took their "un-advertising" ethos from local to regional. It's why BLKJ Havas is the creative flagship out of Singapore. Being a change-maker means you don't just fix your own house; you help rebuild the block.
Rowena's work extends beyond BLKJ Havas. She is on the founding board of the IAA, President of AAMS, and part of the industry advisory committee at Singapore Institute of Technology. These aren't just titles; they're platforms to drive systemic change, foster collaboration, and genuinely shape the industry's future. Her core mission?
