Biography
Ben Miles is a globally recognised design leader who champions transformative work across brands, experiences, and culture. Guided by a strong sense of responsibility, he believes creativity should be a force for positive impact in the world.
As Chief Design Officer for R/GA APAC, Ben leads a diverse, high-performing team of the region’s leading brand designers, product designers, and creatives. United by a shared belief, the team creates brands that don’t simply appear in culture, but meaningfully contribute to it.
Across his career, Ben has helped shape and evolve some of the world’s most influential brands, including Nike, Google, YouTube, Apple, Timberland, Carhartt, Vodafone, Shiseido, Telstra, and Westpac, alongside a range of ambitious startups.
Ben’s work has been recognised both locally and globally. His projects are now housed in the permanent collection of the Powerhouse Museum, Australia’s largest museum network. He regularly contributes to thought leadership globally, in publications and on stage. He was awarded the Bill Bernbach Award for Creative Brilliance, DDB’s highest honour, and received a Fast Company World Changing Ideas accolade for G’ AY MATE, a project supporting marriage equality. In 2023, his leadership helped Indigenous social enterprise We Are Warriors earn two D&AD Yellow Pencils and a Cannes Lion, creating lasting cultural impact and contributing to meaningful, long-term change.
