Biography

Flávia Martins is the Founder & CEO of the consulting firm Diversidade Sustentável (Sustainable Diversity). She has 30 years of experience in executive management, marketing, communication, sustainability, diversity, and culture, having worked for organizations such as the Emanoel Araujo Afro-Brazilian Museum (Executive Director), the UN Global Compact (CMO), TransUnion (Marketing Director and President of the Diversity Committee), Tata Group, Symantec and Telefonica. A journalist with a postgraduate degree in Marketing and training in Board Management from IBGC, she holds a Marketing Analytics certification from Harvard. She leads strategies that expand cultural and social impact by combining strategy, sustainable growth, positioning, and purpose. The executive was honored with the Glória Maria Trophy for ‘Personality of the Year’ at the 2025 ‘Most Admired Black Journalists in the Brazilian Press’ award. She is part of the Powerlist Bantumen 100, which recognizes the 100 most influential Black personalities from Portuguese-speaking countries, and in 2007 she received the international Ketchum Catalyst Award in social media. An author with 12 published books, Flávia is a speaker and mentor for programs aimed at women and Black professionals.
