Biography
Marty Davies is a London-based artist, writer, LGBTQIA+ rights campaigner and cultural architect whose work actively challenges systems of erasure. As the founder of Trans+ History Week, she created a global story-saving movement and non-profit that invests in Trans+ creatives to reclaim historical narratives and reshape the attention economy.
A formidable voice in media, Marty’s queer accountability journalism for Campaign has set a new standard for holding the advertising industry to account for its impact on queer lives and culture. Her work sits where systems thinking and movement-building collide, dismantling harmful stereotypes while addressing structural injustice.
She is also founder of a unique creative cultural strategy consultancy which supports brands to develop cultural confidence and substantively support the LGBTQIA+ community.
Recognised for her cultural and industry impact, Marty was named to Campaign’s A List and the DIVA and Pride Power Lists in 2024 and 2025. She’s also been shortlisted for PPA Columnist of the Year and twice for Media For All’s Changemaker of the Year. Driven by the belief that storytelling is a survival tool, Marty uses art and advocacy to surface the wisdom of the past and help shape a more equitable future.
