Biography

Rafael Gil is the Chief Creative Officer at Artplan, the largest independent agency in Brazil. He has worked at leading agencies such as Africa, VMLY&R, and AlmapBBDO.

He has won over 40 Cannes Lions across 18 different categories, including two unprecedented Grand Prix for Brazil (Glass and B2B). His work has also been exhibited in museums in New York and Los Angeles.

Rafael is a four-time Effie Grand Prix winner (2015, 2016, 2023, and 2024) and has earned gold at every major international award show, including D&AD, One Show, Clio, Andy, LIA, El Ojo, and others.

Among his most notable campaigns are ‘Generation – VW 70 Years’ for Volkswagen, ‘Buscapé’ for Vivo & Motorola, ‘Earth4’ for the UN Global Compact & B3, ‘I Am’ for Starbucks, and ‘Guarded Bus Stop’ for Eletromídia.
