Biography

For decades, Arthur has been responsible for some of the most loved campaigns in China. The mind behind the acclaimed Extra Flavours of Life, bringing Mr Bean to Snickers, and Mercedes Benz’ first ever brand campaign in China, Arthur strives to meet the intersection of culture and entertainment. His work has been viewed billions of times, shaping generations of consumers.

A London native and a graduate in Physics and Philosophy from Oxford University, Arthur took an unusual path to advertising, first as a banker, then as a professional musician before finding a home in the creative department.

From early successes, launching Hong Kong Disneyland and creating award-winning work on P&G Crest, Tide and Safeguard, to a 15-year collaboration with Mars Inc that birthed format-breaking campaigns for Snickers, Dove Chocolate, M&Ms and Extra Gum, Arthur has taken creative leadership roles at Saatchi & Saatchi, BBH and BBDO, before now taking the helm at McCann Worldgroup China.

He has picked up awards in almost every major show, including Cannes Lions, One Show, D&AD and more. And he has sat on various international juries including Cannes Shortlist, OneShow, Spikes, and AdFest, as well as serving as Jury President for China 4As.
