Biography
Danni Pinch (She/They) is an ECD at Accenture Song in Cape Town and responsible for much of the agency's digital innovation and social media work across South Africa.
Moving to Cape Town (from the UK) in 2004, she spent a few years leading PR for Cape Town Fashion Week before being hired by Atmosphere, part of the King James Group. She's been at King James ever since (which has since transitioned to become Accenture Song). In that time, she moved from being a Creative Director in Public Relations to launching Society (a social media agency) and eventually becoming ECD in the integrated agency.
She loves working on projects that blend digital culture, emerging media and entertainment. Some of her most awarded campaigns have included launching the world's first WhatsApp soap opera, Ukshona Kwelanga; turning Table Mountain and other tourist destinations into Roblox games for Western Cape Tourism; and giving influencers unhinged superpowers for Netflix. She is a regular judge at many of South Africa's award shows and has previously been a judge at Cannes Lions, One Show and the Webby Awards.
Outside of work, she runs TTRPG games, obsesses over fantasy novels and tries to keep up with whatever her teenage children are currently into.
