Biography

Eleanor is an earned-first insights driven planner and works on integrated strategies for big brands, uncovering great human insights that inspire creative work which really changes behaviour. Her focus is delivering impact, not just attention.

Her work spreads across all Burson’s sectors to provide and develop the skills needed to combine effective strategy with high levels of creative craft. ​

Eleanor joined Burson (then H+K) in 2018 as the network’s first Creative Strategist and has established the craft at the London agency through mentoring and training existing staff as well as recruiting further earned first planners. In addition to this, she has been leading the agency's Innovation and Creative Hub since 2020 bringing together creative, content, media, data and digital specialists with behavioral scientists to work alongside sector specialists, public + corporate affairs consultants and communication experts. A fluidity of skills is ensuring clients have the right people, at the right time, in the right place.​

During her time in this role, the agency has enjoyed its most awarded year ever signaling a step change in the agency’s creative output. Awards have been broad in range from organisations such as PR Week, Sabre and Digital Impact Awards recognizing work which innovated the future of PR.​

Prior to her role at Burson Eleanor held positions at notable PR agencies Red, Splendid and Golin, establishing the discipline of earned-first planning before it was a widely held specialism. ​

She is also the founder of Planning for Earned, the first community for earned-first planners and strategists which aims to celebrate the craft, build its profile and develop the future of the discipline.
