Biography
Emmanuel Amankwah has been in the advertising business for more than nineteen years. He has worked across Accra, Lagos, Johannesburg, and Cape Town, moving through Saatchi & Saatchi, Publicis West Africa, Cheil Worldwide, M&C Saatchi networks, and his own independent chapter in between. He has always worked in the space where brands must earn belief, not borrow it.
At Origin8 Saatchi & Saatchi, where he worked as both Copywriter and Art Director, he helped launch the MTN brand in 2007. The ‘GO’ campaign they created became a reference point for brand engagement in the region and beyond.
He later led Zain Telecoms from the inside before it became Airtel and now Airtel-Tigo. At Publicis West Africa, he worked on major accounts including Nestle, P&G, Vodafone, Western Union, UNICEF, CFAO Motors, and Diageo. He also led work for Samsung, Unilever, Danone, Ecobank, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Emmanuel has also built from scratch. For four years, he ran his own agency, sharpening his instinct for ideas that survive real market pressure and deliver results beyond presentations.
He has won numerous local and regional awards. Yet he remains focused on one pursuit: ideas that are true, simple, and impossible to ignore.
