Biography

Hema Subramanian is Omnichannel Marketing Lead at M.H. Alshaya Co., where she leads omnichannel media strategy for Apparel Brands such as H&M, Victoria's Secret and Footlocker across the MENA region. With over a decade of experience across agency and brand-side roles in Dubai, she has built a career at the intersection of data science and media strategy — believing that the most powerful campaigns are those where analytical rigour and creative ambition move together.

Before joining Alshaya, Hema held senior roles at Noon, Artefact and APCO Worldwide, working across a diverse portfolio of brands spanning e-commerce, government, hospitality and luxury. As a Stanford-certified data science practitioner, her journey into media began with a curiosity about what truly makes people act — a question she has never stopped asking across every role and every brief she has worked on.

She believes great media work doesn't just reach audiences; it earns their attention by showing up in ways that feel genuinely relevant and unexpected. She is honoured to bring that lens to the Cannes Lions jury.
