Former CCO turned CEO, Joe founded The Romans in 2015 with backing from the lovely folks at Mother. The business currently has offices in London, New York, Dubai, Amsterdam and Berlin. Named Agency of The Year by a major awards body every year since 2018, The Romans is the current Global Agency of The Year for both PR Week and Campaign. In 2025, The Romans was named Cannes Lions' first ever PR Agency of The Year.

Joe was recently recognised as #1 in the 2026 PR Week Powerbook for Consumer Comms, alongside his long-term business partner Lucy McGettigan. He lives in East London with his wife (who just happens to run Mother) and their two very wild boys. His interests include ancient history and drinking.
