Biography
Laurence (Lolly) Thomson is Joint Global Chief Creative Officer of M+C Saatchi Group.
Having previously worked at Mother London, W+K and McCann London alongside long-term partner Rob Doubal, the duo took over the reins of M+C in September 2024.
Always pushing the envelope, they are proud creators of work that moves culture, grows brand and delivers impact. All with a hallmark innovative style, that challenges and disrupts the expectations of a medium to create new ways to engage with audiences.
In helping the worlds’ best marketers forge places of interest for their products they’ve created numerous Grand Prix, Titanium and multi award-winning campaigns, including global phenoms for Xbox: ‘Survival Billboard’, ‘Design Lab Originals’, ‘The Birth of Gaming Tourism’ and last year’s standout blockbuster ‘The Everyday Tactician’.
Under their stewardship McCann London elevated from unranked outlier to No.1 UK Creative Agency (2024); Most Creatively Effective Agency network for an 8th consecutive year (Effies 2024); and listed No.6 on Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies list for their Xbox work (2025).
Champion of creativity as a mentor, panellist, writer and industry juror, he thirsts for inspiration and strives for industry excellence and inclusion. He’s also busy being a dad to two beautiful girls.
