Biography
Laurence (Lolly) Thomson is Joint Global CCO of M+C Saatchi Group.
Lolly joined M+C in 2024 alongside long-time creative partner Rob Doubal, becoming the network’s first Global CCOs. Their appointment followed stints at Mother, W+K, and latterly McCann London, where they played a pivotal role in revitalising the agency’s creative reputation and making the UK an unrivalled hub of advertising excellence.
Tasked with defining and delivering M+C Saatchi’s unifying proposition, Cultural Power — the belief that creativity fuels cultural influence, and cultural influence fuels business growth — Lolly and Rob have turned philosophy into practice. The result is a network-wide reinvigorated creative culture, proving that work which connects meaningfully with culture drives both fame and commercial impact.
Together, they’ve helped some of the worlds’ best marketers forge places of interest for their brands, creating Grand Prix, Titanium and multi award-winning campaigns - including global gaming phenoms for Xbox: ‘Survival Billboard’, ‘Design Lab Originals’, ‘The Birth of Gaming Tourism’ and standout blockbuster ‘The Everyday Tactician’. All with a hallmark innovative style, that challenges and disrupts the expectations of medium to create new ways to engage with audiences.
