Biography

Omawumi Ogbe is a distinguished public relations strategist, brand consultant, and media leader recognized for shaping the modern narrative of African communications. As Managing Partner at GLG Communications and Editor-in-Chief of GLAZIA Magazine, she bridges the gap between high-stakes corporate reputation and cultural storytelling.

A sought-after voice in the global industry, Omawumi serves on the Board of the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA), the world’s largest professional PR body. Her leadership has earned her significant international recognition, including the Marketing Edge "Most Influential PR Personality of the Year" and designation as one of the 100 Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD). Other accolades include being named one of the "Leading Ladies 100 Most Inspiring Women in Nigeria," receiving the WIMCA 2025 award as one of the "Top 50 Most Influential Women in Marketing & Communications," and the 2025 ELOY Award for Excellence in Public Relations.
