Biography

Pelle Sjoenell was most recently the Worldwide CCO of Droga5. He previously served as the inaugural CCO at Activision Blizzard, where he drove marketing innovation for the world’s most successful gaming franchises, including Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Diablo, Overwatch, and Candy Crush. Under his leadership, the company earned more creative marketing honors than in its entire prior history.

Prior to that, Sjoenell was Worldwide CCO at BBH. As founder of the BBH Los Angeles office in 2010, he pioneered branded entertainment initiatives, including The Creative Studio, a joint venture with Scooter Braun.

Under Sjoenell’s leadership, Droga5 was awarded Cannes Lions Grand Prix, Agency of the Year at Ciclope, and its first Emmy. While he led BBH, the agency received over thirty Cannes Lions, including two Grand Prix, and Sjoenell was awarded the Titanium Lion in 2009. He currently serves on the Board of Governors for Otis College of Art and Design and co-authored the book The Art of Branded Entertainment with the 2017 Cannes Lions Entertainment Jury.

Before all this Pelle was born above the arctic circle, north of the wall, in Malmberget, Sweden.
