Biography

Rafael Donato is Chief Creative Officer at Ogilvy Brasil and Global Creative Lead for WPP Open X. With a distinguished career boasting 21 Cannes Lions and a proven track record in leading global brands, Rafa's leadership experience also includes serving as CCO at DAVID Miami and VP of Creative at DAVID São Paulo.

Some of Rafa's career highlights include Hasbro's "Lost Episode" which won an Entertainment Lion in 2025, Coca-Cola's recent World Cup 2026 campaign "Uncanned Emotions", Google's "iPager" that made Apple change its messaging system, Burger King's "Burn That Ad" and Coca-Cola's "This Coke is a Fanta" that changed a homophobic expression for good. In 2019, he was nominated Creative of the Year at the Prêmio Caboré, Brazil's most prestigious industry award.

This will be Rafa's second time serving as Cannes Juror since the Direct Lions jury in 2019.
